European Tech Recruit seeks a Senior Design Automation & Front-End Software Engineer (HW/SW) in Rotterdam to build and maintain front-end design automation flows for a global silicon IP leader.

You will collaborate with DA, Verification and Development teams, leveraging SystemVerilog, Verilog, Python and EDA tools to deliver robust tooling and automation for front-end verification and IP creation.

Competenze

• BS or MS degree in electrical or computer engineering or closely related field; substantial relevant work experience may substitute.
• 5-10 years of experience as a HW/SW engineer or related field.
• Proficiency with object-oriented programming.
• Proficiency with SystemVerilog, Verilog.
• Proficiency with Python, Tcl, Perl, and Bash.
• Understanding of CDC and RDC concepts.
• Experience creating automation for front end design EDA tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

About the Opportunity

A leading global leader in silicon IP and semiconductor solutions is seeking an experienced SMTS Software Engineer / Design Automation Engineer to join their Design Automation group.

In this role, you will help develop front-end design automation flows and support a global Digital IP development team. Reporting directly to the Design Automation Manager, you will help build, enhance, and maintain world-class tools and automation that drive front-end verification and IP creation across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools and automation to support front end verification, lint, synthesis and package generation
• Work closely with members of the Design Automation, Verification and Development teams to collaboratively solve problems and build solutions
• Provide support to our global engineering organization

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in electrical or computer engineering or closely related degree strongly preferred; but substantial, relevant, outstanding work experience may substitute in some cases
• 5-10 years of experience working as a HW/SW engineer or related field
• Proficiency with object-oriented programming methodologies
• Proficiency with SystemVerilog, Verilog
• Proficiency with Python, Tcl, Perl, and Bash
• Understanding of CDC and RDC concepts
• Experience creating automation for front end design EDA tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
