Join Albert Heijn Online in Roosendaal as a delivery driver! Earn €18.83 per hour, enjoy flexible shifts and work independently on the road.
Do you enjoy driving, meeting different people and having a job that keeps you active? As a delivery driver for Albert Heijn Online in Roosendaal, you will be responsible for bringing grocery orders directly to customers.
Your working day starts at the delivery location, where you prepare your vehicle for the journey ahead. You check the grocery orders, make sure everything is complete and load the crates safely into your delivery van.
Once your vehicle is ready, you follow your assigned delivery route through Roosendaal and the surrounding area.
At each destination, you unload the correct order and deliver the groceries to the customer's home or workplace. You provide friendly service, answer simple questions and make sure the delivery is completed correctly.
Your responsibilities also include processing payments when required, collecting empty crates and returnable packaging, and recording delivery information in the delivery app.
After completing your route, you return to the location, handle the returned materials and leave the delivery van clean and ready for its next journey.
You will spend much of your working day independently, while remaining part of a supportive delivery team.
You can work between 12 and 32 hours per week. Morning shifts generally run from 06:00 to 14:00, while afternoon and evening shifts run from 15:00 to 23:00. Deliveries take place from Monday through Sunday. Your schedule will depend on your availability and operational requirements.
Important: You must be available to work at least two Saturdays per month. This is a mandatory requirement for the position.
No previous experience as a delivery driver is required. During your first working days, you will receive practical guidance from an experienced colleague. You will learn how to prepare your van, use the delivery app, handle grocery orders and provide excellent customer service.
The role involves both driving and physical activity. You will regularly lift and carry grocery crates from your delivery van to customers' doors. You should therefore be comfortable performing physical tasks throughout your shift and be able to handle grocery crates safely.
Employees aged 21 and over receive a gross all‑in hourly wage of €18.83, including holiday allowance and applicable additional allowances. You can choose to receive your salary every week or once every four weeks. Your net earnings will depend on your personal tax circumstances. Additional benefits include travel expense reimbursement, pension participation and paid annual leave.
