Job summary

Europol, based in The Hague (The Netherlands), seeks a Specialist - Forensic Examiner (Decryption) to support EC3's DSU Forensics Team. The role involves decryption, digital forensics, and developing advanced programming to assist Europol and its partners against cyber-dependant crime.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of baseline digital forensics techniques.
• Knowledge of applied cryptography fundamentals such as encryption algorithms.
• In-depth knowledge of hashcat usage and modes of operation.
• Intermediate programming skills in Python.
• Knowledge of NLP (wordlist building) techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert decryption and digital forensic services.
• Operate Decryption Platform and liaise with ICT and DG JRC.
• Liaise with EU MS, EU bodies, third countries and international organisations.
• Organise meetings, training sessions and conferences.
• Represent Europol at digital forensic and security events.
• Draft and finalise reports, briefings and strategic documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by line management.
