Position Overview
As a Decision Scientist with the Marketing Modelling Intelligence team, you will shape product and business strategy by leveraging data to drive impactful decision‑making. You will maintain and improve Bayesian Media Mix Models, develop ROI and payback measurement, and apply statistical and econometric models to guide data‑driven investment decisions, directly impacting Vinted’s growth and ROI.
In this position, you'll
- Advance Marketing Intelligence: co‑create the development of Bayesian Media Mix Models and partner with experts to evolve global ROI and payback frameworks.
- Steer Investment Decisions: act as a strategic advisor to Marketing leaders, using econometric insights and statistical modelling to guide high‑stakes investments across channels and markets.
- Validate Strategic Bets: identify growth opportunities and answer critical business questions by designing rigorous tests and analysing impact using advanced statistical methods.
- Scale Decision‑Making: design and deploy automated data products and self‑service tools that empower the domain to make data‑driven decisions independently and at scale.
- Champion Data Excellence: oversee key performance indicators and promote analytics best practices, ensuring our data culture translates directly into business results.
About You
- Solid foundational experience (2–4 years) in data science, analytics, or a similar field.
- Strategic mindset: you connect scientific findings to pragmatic business solutions that drive real‑world growth.
- Strong communication skills: you influence stakeholders and present complex modelling results persuasively to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Strong technical proficiency: proficient in Python and SQL, with hands‑on experience using dbt and BI tools such as Looker or Tableau to build scalable data products.
- Strong theoretical foundation: deep knowledge of principles behind data science, including statistical modelling and regression analysis. Experience with Bayesian statistics is a significant plus.
- Graduate degree in Data Science, Statistics, Math, Economics, Econometrics or a related quantitative field.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Advantage: previous experience with Media Mix Modelling (MMM) or advanced attribution methods.

The annual gross salary range for this position is €53,900 – €72,900 EUR.
