Role Overview

We are looking for a Datacenter Technician to support on-site datacenter operations for a global IT client. The role is hands-on and focuses on maintaining physical datacenter infrastructure, executing hardware deployments, and resolving incidents in a ticket-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, stage, set up, and execute startup and shutdown activities for datacenter equipment such as racks, servers, hard drives, and network switches, following defined instructions, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform post-deployment quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling in line with safety regulations, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
• Carry out diagnostics and troubleshooting activities using standard procedures, identify root causes efficiently, and replace faulty hardware components as required.
• Support hardware decommissioning, refresh activities, and simple changes (e.g., memory upgrades, operating system rebuilds) with minimal supervision.
• Work within a ticket-based system, accurately documenting actions taken and updates provided.
• Communicate effectively, report incidents, and escalate complex issues to Datacenter Technician Leads following established escalation procedures.
• Adhere to datacenter health, safety, and security standards at all times.

Required Qualifications
