Job summary

Auxo Talent is seeking an experienced Datacenter Field Manager to serve as the Lead Regional Site Foreman for a 12-month contract in the Netherlands. You will be the onsite lead, coordinating field technicians, partner resources, and subcontractors while ensuring high-quality deliverables across multiple datacenter projects.

You will oversee site surveys, documentation, and installation activities, manage OS updates, and ensure proper cabling and device placement.

Qualifications

• Datacenter experience with at least 3 years in related field.
• Experience leading small-to-mid teams and coordinating field work.
• Strong knowledge of network cabling and optics and CLI protocols.
• Ability to interpret documentation and implement site surveys.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Datacenter Field Manager to join our services practice as the Lead Regional Site Foreman for a 12-month contract based in the Netherlands. You'll be the onsite lead and liaison for our client, overseeing field technicians, partner resources, and subcontractors across multiple ongoing datacenter projects. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives on‑site - coordinating installations, running site surveys, and ensuring every deliverable meets the highest quality standard. You'll need to be comfortable commuting to sites in and around Amsterdam.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the onsite lead and primary liaison with partner resources and subcontractors
• Analyze and interpret documentation to ensure devices are staged to spec
• Develop documentation for site surveys and onsite installation activities
• Conduct site surveys and review findings with the customer and field engineers to ensure remediation needs are met
• Interview, schedule, manage, and coordinate field technicians across multiple concurrent projects, including as-built deliverable processing
• Coordinate with the Project Management team on execution of onsite activities
• Train field technicians on expectations, quality control, and site work standards
• Perform Dead on Arrival / Green Light testing and post-installation QA
• Integrate infrastructure components per slotting matrices and cabling diagrams
• Manage OS upgrades and console access for remote engineering
• Oversee cabling installation (pulling, securing, splicing, conduit runs) and physical device placement - unboxing, racking, and mounting network equipment

Requirements:

• Leadership experience managing small teams
• Strong decision‑making, adaptability, and collaboration skills
• Solid knowledge of network cabling and optic types
• Broad knowledge of infrastructure technologies
• Familiarity with major CLI protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, etc.) and common networking protocols
• Experience updating OS on Cisco, Juniper, and similar networking gear
• Hands‑on experience with network implementations and support
• Familiarity with network heat‑mapping tools (e.g., Ekahau)
• Datacenter experience and a minimum of 3 years' progressive experience in a related field
• Strong communication skills with peers/customers during problem resolution, and the ability to stay effective under pressure.
• Experience handling complex, ambiguous project scopes across small to large environments
• Excellent prioritization, time management, and analytical judgment

Preferred Certifications / Education

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
