Job summary

Schuberg Philis is seeking a Platform Engineer – Backup & Recovery to own the DMS data protection platform across private and public cloud environments. You will drive automation, resiliency, and best practices, partnering with sbp.cloud and customer teams to deliver secure, compliant recovery capabilities.

You will manage complex environments with Commvault and alternative tools, ensuring uptime and rapid recovery while implementing security enhancements and scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience with data protection platforms and backup/recovery workflows.
• Hands-on with Commvault and/or Rubrik in large environments.
• Proficient in Linux and Windows, with automation scripting.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve data recovery platforms, primarily Commvault, within our DMS environment.
• Ensure high availability and security of data protection workloads.
• Automate platform operations and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with vendors and customer teams to improve products and implementations.
• Support workloads across VMware, OpenStack, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes.
