Job summary

PGGM is seeking a Data Engineer to design, implement and manage the self-service Snowflake Data Platform infrastructure. You will ensure scalability, security and reliability, while aligning with data mesh principles and DevOps practices.

Join the IT Data Infrastructure team in Zeist/Den Haag with plans to move to Utrecht in 2028. You will collaborate with Data Engineers, DevOps, Cloud Engineers and security experts to keep the platform running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Higher professional education or university level required or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt and cloud data platforms.
• Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Bash and Python.

Responsibilities

• Design & implementation: build and maintain robust cloud infrastructure for the data platform.
• Optimisation & scalability: ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure and reliable.
• Automation: implement IaC solutions and automated deployment pipelines.
• Monitoring & management: monitor and test infrastructure for stable operations.
• Advice & innovation: research and apply new technologies to improve efficiency and security.
• Collaboration: work with Data Engineers, DevOps, Cloud Engineers and security experts continuously.
