Job summary

ATC Computer Transport & Logistics seeks a Data Center Technician to install and maintain cabling for hardware networks, including server/network rack decommissioning. The role offers paths to leadership with training and travel for on-site support.

You'll attend customer sites, install and troubleshoot fibre and copper cabling, manage patching and cable works, and document progress. English required (C1); willingness to travel and prior data center/logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites as scheduled, following safety, security, and operations procedures.
• Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain fibre and copper cabling infrastructure.
• Perform cabling activities in server racks, including patching, dressing, and cable management.
• Conduct routine inspections of IT, server, and network equipment.
• Install, relocate, disconnect, and decommission network, server, and storage equipment.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, including laying additional fibre and copper cabling.
• Maintain accurate records, complete daily reports, and update stakeholders on progress.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Understanding of networking concepts and best practices.
• Prior experience in a data centre, logistics or construction environment.
• Ability to be flexible and travel for work.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel/Teams.

Role

ATC’s Data Center Technician assumes a critical role in the installation and upkeep of cabling to guarantee seamless operations of hardware networks, including equipment and server/network rack decommissioning. • Basic understanding of networking hardware, including routers and switches.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Email.
• Language proficiency: C1 level in English.
• Proficiency in another European language would be advantageous.
• Prior experience in a data centre, logistics or construction environment.
• Ability to be flexible and travel for work.
