Job summary

Google is seeking a Data Center Facilities Manager to lead 24/7 operations at our Middenmeer site in the Netherlands. You will oversee a large technical team and vendors, ensure uptime of server, storage, and networking systems, and maintain safety and environmental standards.

Fluency in English and Dutch is required, travel and a valid B category driving license are expected, and you will drive cost optimization and continuous improvement across the data center, with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in data center operations or related field.
• 8 years of experience managing technical teams and vendors.
• Fluent in English and Dutch for client relationships.
• Willingness to travel; valid driving license (Category B).

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a large team overseeing 24/7 data center operations.
• Ensure server, storage, and networking systems meet SLAs and availability goals.
• Drive efficiency and cost optimization; uphold environmental and safety standards.
• Travel regularly between sites and participate in on-call rotations.
