Job summary

Google LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Data Center Engineering team, guiding technical design from campus planning to detailed engineering and commissioning. You will collaborate with facilities technicians and operations to ensure robust, scalable electrical systems powering Google's data centers.

Responsibilities include leading high-Complex projects, contributing to scoping, and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule alignment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of startup/commissioning processes.
• Understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Ability to build relationships and deliver on action-oriented tasks.
• Strong skills in requirement gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, problem-solving, and achieving goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive project electrical outcomes of high complexity and scope, providing electrical technical leadership to resolve critical field issues.
• Contribute to project electrical scoping and direction, and manage project electrical priorities and allocation of technical resources within the project.
• Provide technical leadership to the projects, support and optimize project design, scope, schedule, quality, commissioning, and safety for the electrical discipline, and provide feedback to the central partner teams on possible improvements.
• Troubleshoot advanced electrical system events, and escalating only the most complex issues as appropriate.
• Contribute to the development of cross-project, cross-functional, and cross-organizational procedures and ensure alignment of the Electrical Engineers' work with multiple teams/projects.
