Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Senior Internal Audit Consultant, Data & AI-Enabled Assurance to join the Global Internal Audit team. You will use data analytics and AI-enabled workflows to evaluate controls and provide risk-based insights across EMEA & APO regions. The role is hybrid from Hoofddorp with a minimum on-site requirement.

You will design analytics, implement automation, and apply AI responsibly to enhance risk management and governance. English is essential, with travel up to 15% as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in public accounting, corporate Internal Audit, or a comparable finance, data, or transformation role.
• Proven experience building analytics end-to-end using SQL and Python or equivalent tools, plus a BI tool such as Power BI.
• Practical experience using generative AI tools; understand their limits, risks, and governance requirements.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and standard business processes (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report).
• Excellent communication and collaboration; English required; ability to present to varied audiences and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of financial and operational controls per IIA standards.
• Build and maintain analytics and automation pipelines from ERP data extraction to results.
• Use AI to accelerate risk assessment, analysis, test design, and reporting with human oversight.
• Assess controls over AI-enabled processes including data quality, governance, and third-party risk.
• Partner with stakeholders to propose value-added control improvements and support system transformations.
