Job summary

Flexport is seeking a Global Customs Analyst in Amsterdam to join our Customs Team. You will learn and apply EU customs procedures while supporting a high-volume flow of shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

You will work with a team of logistics professionals in a fast-paced, multinational environment and have the chance to grow within a dynamic global company.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of EU customs procedures.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding or logistics preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume entries accurately and on deadline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file customs documentation for imports and exports.
• Review documents for EU compliance and classify goods using GRIs.
• Identify opportunities for Preferential Trade Agreements per shipment.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide high-quality service.

The Opportunity:

Flexport is experiencing massive growth with 2000+ Flexporters across 40+ global offices and warehouses. And we're just getting started. With revenue growing at breakneck speed, Flexport is looking for a Global Customs Analyst to join our Customs Team in Amsterdam. This is a great position for hard-working, detail-oriented professionals looking to develop their career in the international trade industry. You'll be working alongside and learning from some of the smartest people in the logistics industry as we challenge the status quo and reduce the friction in global trade.

You Will:

• Digitally prepare and file all documentation required to customs clear goods (import & export)
• Review and organize incoming documents to ensure compliance with EU Customs Regulations
• Classify products as necessary using GRIs
• Identify the potential for the use of a Preferential Trade Agreement on a per shipment basis
• Maintain excellent working relationship with clients by providing customer service that exceeds client expectations

You Should Have:

• Customs experience is ideal, but not required. We'll teach you!
• A background in freight forwarding or logistics is a strong plus
• Dutch is a plus
• The ability to manage a high volume of entries accurately and on deadline
• Strong written and verbal communication, and the organizational skills to keep many shipments moving at once
• Comfort working in digital tools. Our workflow is paperless, and we want you to make it even better
