Job summary

Katoen Natie Westerschelde BV in Hoek (ZCT) seeks a Crane Operator to load and unload containers from vessels using the Mantsinen 300 crane, with future STS crane and reachstacker duties. The role is based at the Hoek terminal in a dynamic, international port environment.

You will work in two shifts (06:45–14:45 and 14:45–22:45), focusing on safety and efficiency, and may take on reachstacker tasks when scheduled. Growth opportunities and a direct contract with Katoen Natie are available.

Qualifications

• Experience or certification in operating port cranes (or willingness to obtain it).
• VCA Basic Safety Certificate is required.
• Flexible to work two shifts: morning and afternoon.

Do you want to work with powerful machines, right in the heart of the port, and play a key role in smooth container operations?
As a Crane Operator at Katoen Natie, you’ll be responsible for loading and unloading containers from vessels using our impressive Mantsinen 300 crane (and in the near future our STS crane. You’ll also have the opportunity to operate the reachstacker. No two days are the same – and that’s exactly what makes this job so exciting and diverse!

What will you do?

You’ll operate our crane at our terminal in Hoek, ensuring containers are safely and efficiently loaded and unloaded from incoming and outgoing ships. You’ll work closely with your team to keep operations running smoothly. Depending on the schedule and your flexibility, you may also perform reachstacker duties.

What do you bring?

• Experience or certification in operating port cranes (or willingness to obtain it)

• Full-time availability in 2 shifts:
• Morning: 06:45 – 14:45
• Afternoon: 14:45 – 22:45
