Job summary

Deloitte Netherlands seeks a Senior Consultant in Risk & Data Transformation to drive data and risk strategy for banks and insurers. You will lead diverse teams, shape data governance and apply generative AI across regulatory and reporting workflows. Strong communication in English and Dutch is essential.

You will mentor colleagues, contribute to service offerings, and help clients turn data into a competitive advantage while managing regulatory compliance and risk reporting challenges.

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant experience in data-driven challenges within financial services and/or consulting, including business development and transformation management with data, analytics and cloud solutions for compliance and risk.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in dynamic project environments and pursuing commercial opportunities with clients.
• Knowledge of risk management, credit risk, data governance, analytics, generative AI and low-code applications; proficiency with Power BI, Python, SQL or Excel automation.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, enabling professional relationships with diverse clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• At least five years of relevant experience working on data-driven challenges in financial services and/or consulting, including business development and transformation management involving data, analytics and cloud solutions for compliance and risk.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in dynamic project environments. You can identify and pursue commercial opportunities with existing and prospective clients, support the development of service offerings and project proposals, and actively build client relationships and share knowledge.
• Knowledge of and/or experience in risk management, credit risk, data governance, analytics, generative AI and low-code applications, as well as tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL or Excel automation.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, enabling you to build professional relationships with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

By applying analytics and generative AI effectively, you will reduce risk, improve data quality and make decision-making more transparent.
