World Wide Technology is seeking a Configuration Technician II for our Oude Meer, Netherlands location. You will perform production-level configurations and testing, following detailed engineering instructions and liaising with NAIC facilities.

You will troubleshoot multiple device types and open OEM cases when needed. Responsibilities include loading OS, licenses, firmware updates, and documenting processes.

The Role:

Configuration Technician role performs production level logical configurations and testing. Follows detailed work instructions provide by Engineering teams. Communicates with multiple members of the project team within and NAIC facilities. Performs troubleshooting of multiple device types to isolate issues resulting from failing hardware or software. Opens and facilitates OEM level cases when needed. Communicates with multiple members of the project team within and NAIC facilities. The Configuration Technician II role reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

• Troubleshooting of multiple vendor networking, wireless, telecom and collaboration devices.
• Troubleshooting of equipment such as core network storage and server technologies, or general telecommunication product.
• Facilitate opening and resolution of OEM cases and work directly with OEM engineers.
• Complete all required paperwork required for reverse logistics, non-conformance and OEM trouble cases.
• Lead troubleshooting process for defective devices, logical issues, or systematic errors on a wide range of technologies.
• Communicate effectively with multiple cross-functional teams.
• Ensures compliance with established codes, regulations, and standards.
• Configure, upgrade, and test networking and telecom equipment (routers, switches, servers, wireless, voice, video, radio access network items based on program need).
• Logical work to load OS (Operating system), loading license, and update firmware per customer requirements.
• Understanding of installation and configuration instructions with various platforms of hardware and ensures accurate information capture.
• Complete physical audit of equipment and accessories.
• Confirm hardware is functional.

Experience Required:

• 3 years of hands‑on experience with router/switch, wireless and servers.
• Resolves issues by diagnosing problems, determining possible resolutions and implementing effective solutions.
• Demonstrates the discipline of planning, organizing and managing resources and activities to achieve specified outcomes within a clearly defined timeframe and standards.
• Identifies documentation needs and develops technical reference documentation in accordance with standards.
• Communicates with clarity and precision, presenting complex information in a concise format that is audience appropriate.
• Leverages technical knowledge of products to meet customer needs and understands market segments as well as market data trends.
• Demonstrates a concern for accuracy and thoroughness so that sufficiently detailed information is logged correctly.
• Ability to take instruction and independently execute on the directives.
• Ability to read engineering drawings (network designs documents, rack elevations)
• Knowledge of different testing hardware and software platforms
• Knowledge of a broad range of network infrastructure cable types and best practices.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to prioritize in a high‑pressure environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Advanced level of English language.
