Job summary

Talisman seeks a Senior Cloud & Platform Security Specialist to lead security engineering for an isolated OCI-based cloud platform designed for mission-critical workloads. This contract spans a 12-month prototype with build, accreditation, testing, and operations through late 2027.

The role focuses on Zero Trust, PAM, MDR, and endpoint security, leveraging Terraform/IaC to enforce security baselines in air-gapped environments.

Qualifications

• Active high-level international security clearance (Secret or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience in air-gapped or high-assurance environments.
• Knowledge of Terraform/IaC, Zero Trust, PAM, MDR, Endpoint Security, and auditing tools.
• Ability to work with major cloud and enterprise networking architectures.

Responsibilities

• Security Engineering: Design, build, and support security controls for an air-gapped cloud platform.
• Core Domains: Implement MDR, PAM, threat & exposure management, and endpoint security.
• Zero Trust & Compliance: Support MFA, federated identity, encryption, monitoring, and audit logging.
• Accreditation Readiness: Lead assessments, remediation, and compliance efforts toward accreditation.
• Automation: Use Terraform and IaC to enforce security baselines declaratively.

About the Opportunity

Are you a Senior Security Engineer with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and high-assurance, air-gapped environments?

We are looking for an international Cloud & Platform Security Specialist to join a high-impact initiative building an isolated, off-premises cloud capability designed for mission-critical, classified workloads.

This contract engagement spans a 12-month prototype phase with an intensive 6-7 month build focus, followed by security accreditation, testing, and operational run activities through late 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Engineering: Design, build, and support security controls across an air-gapped, isolated cloud platform.
• Core Domains: Drive implementations for Managed Detection & Response (MDR), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Threat & Exposure Management, and Endpoint Security.
• Zero Trust & Compliance: Support Zero Trust architecture, MFA, federated identity, key management/encryption, continuous monitoring, and audit logging.
• Accreditation Readiness: Lead security assessments, vulnerability remediation, and compliance efforts toward platform accreditation.
• Automation: Utilize Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enforce security baselines declaratively.

What We Are Looking For

• Clearance: Active high-level international security clearance (Secret or equivalent required).
• Cloud Platform: Proven hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Air-Gapped Systems: Background working in physically/logically isolated or high-assurance environments.
