Job summary

Yuki is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to take complete ownership of our AWS cloud environment and drive a mature DevOps culture across the engineering organization. You will manage EC2, S3, RDS, VPC networking, and Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, while advancing IaC pipelines and security.

You will collaborate with Platform and Product teams to design scalable architectures, implement automation, and ensure high availability of our 100% cloud-based SaaS platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing production environments on AWS.
• Deep expertise in AWS core services: Networking (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups), EC2/Auto Scaling, S3 storage tiers, and RDS.
• Solid hands-on production experience with Kubernetes (EKS) configuration & maintenance, Docker, Helm, and ArgoCD.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the AWS cloud environment with strong DevOps practices.
• Manage, monitor, and scale Windows, Linux, SQL Server, and Kubernetes (EKS) clusters for high availability.
• Lead infrastructure projects including architecture design, testing, monitoring, and security.
• Collaborate with Platform Team to implement DevOps strategies across the organization.
• Maintain IaC pipelines and optimize EKS cluster performance.

Your Role at Yuki

As our Senior Cloud Engineer, you won't just keep the lights on, you will take complete ownership of our AWS cloud environment and play a pivotal role in fostering a mature DevOps culture across our engineering organization.

• Continuous Improvement: Continuously refine and optimize our AWS infrastructure with a sharp focus on scalability, maintainability, and security.
• System Administration & Monitoring: Manage, monitor, and scale Windows, SQL Server, Linux servers, and Kubernetes (EKS) clusters to guarantee high availability.
• Key Infrastructure Projects: Lead technical infrastructure initiatives (architecture design, testing, monitoring, security) and partner with product engineering teams on complex architecture needs.
• DevOps Strategy: Collaborate closely with our Platform Team to evaluate, iterate, and execute strategies that drive DevOps best practices organization-wide.

What You Bring to The Table

You are an analytical, inventive, and forward-thinking engineer who takes pride in system resilience and clean architecture. You thrive in an environment with high autonomy and freedom, matching it with a strong sense of personal accountability.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing production environments on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Deep expertise in AWS core services: Networking (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups), EC2/Auto Scaling, fine-tuning S3 storage tiers, and RDS (backup/restore, patching, performance tuning).
• Solid hands-on production experience with Kubernetes (EKS configuration & maintenance), Docker, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Proven experience setting up, running, and maintaining Windows Servers within a public cloud environment.
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet) and setting up CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions).
• Scripting skills for deployment, monitoring, and application management (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Hands-on production experience with CloudFront/CDN, ElastiCache, Lambda, or SQS/SNS.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure for AI/ML workloads (e.g., general MLOps principles, vector databases, or data pipelines) and leveraging AI-driven development tools to optimize workflows.
