Job summary

Doxis is hiring a Cloud Engineer in Groningen to own cloud infrastructure from design to production. You will design and run cloud infrastructure behind AI systems handling millions of documents, with a focus on Azure, AKS, and secure Docker deployments.

You will collaborate with ~25 developers, optimize workloads, and ensure high availability with zero-downtime deployments while exploring modern cloud services and innovations. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes; Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a big plus.
• Experience hosting high-availability services within Kubernetes.
• Builder mindset: see the full picture and design durable solutions.
• Deep understanding of system scalability and performance engineering.
• Experience building efficient, secure Docker images and deploying multiple languages via Docker images.
• Experience with Kubernetes zero-downtime deployment, automatic node/pod scaling and GPUs in Kubernetes.
• Curiosity about latest cloud services and innovations; willingness to learn.
• Fluent in English; other languages a plus.

At Doxis, we build AI systems that understand and process millions of real-world business documents. Our technology helps companies automatically extract data from invoices, receipts, passports and contracts using advanced machine learning, computer vision and LLM-based AI systems.

To keep that platform running at scale, we are hiring a Cloud Engineer who wants to own cloud infrastructure from design to production. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working across cloud architecture, Kubernetes and developer tooling.

What You’ll Do

Most importantly, you will design and run the cloud infrastructure behind AI systems used by global companies. Every month we process around 10 million documents on it.

• Analyze, design and build cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure that international companies rely on
• Roll out and operate applications in our Azure Kubernetes cluster
• Connect our cluster to our GitLab CI/CD environment and enable deployments from it
• Optimize the workload in the cluster and keep it cost-efficient
• Improve monitoring and logging, and make it available and visible to developers
