Job summary

Gom Schoonhouden at Schiphol is looking for enthusiastic cleaners to join our airport cleaning team. You will help keep terminals, sanitary facilities and lounges clean, and adapt to varying activity levels across day and night shifts.

We offer a gross hourly salary of €15.52–€17.05 (age 20+), allowances for evening, night and weekend shifts, holiday allowance plus year-end bonus, a birthday day off, training and development programs, and access to our support desk.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Dutch and/or English.
• Flexible to work at Schiphol airport across multiple shifts.

We are looking for enthusiastic colleagues to join our cleaning team at Schiphol.

Would you like to work at one of the most dynamic locations in the Netherlands? At Gom Schiphol, you and your colleagues help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming airport for millions of travellers and thousands of employees.

Soon, Schiphol will open its new A-pier, a brand-new part of the airport with new gates and modern facilities. As a Cleaner, you will contribute to maintaining a clean environment in both the existing terminals and this new section of Schiphol.

Your duties will include cleaning terminal areas, sanitary facilities, and lounges. As a Cleaner, you are an important part of Schiphol's daily operations. Due to the varying levels of activity at the airport, for example during holiday periods and other peak times, you will need to adapt flexibly to the tasks required at that moment.

Working hours

This is a long-term position for 28 to 38 hours per week. You must be flexible and available to work from Monday through Sunday.

Shifts:

• Morning shift: 06:30h to 14:30h
• Afternoon shift: 14:15h to 22:15h
• Night shift: 22:30h to 06:30h

A maximum of three night shifts will be scheduled per week.

• Fluent in Dutch and/or English;
• Knowledge of other languages is a plus;
• You enjoy helping others and working both independently and as part of a team;
• You are able to travel to Schiphol at any time, day or night;
• You have been continuously registered with a Dutch municipality for at least 8 years (required to obtain a Schiphol pass);
• You hold a Certificate of No Objection (VGB) or are able to apply for one.
