Job description

Lendahand Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands

Chief Product & Marketing Officer

Lendahand is a mission-driven fintech and proud member of the B Corp community. We operate a digital impact investing platform that allows everyday investors to contribute to a better world using financial investment. Through our platform, investors create positive impact in developing countries like Kenya, Mexico, and Indonesia while earning a good financial return.

We have found product/market fit and are in the scale‑up phase. Our objective is to raise and disburse €30 million in loans per year to over €50 million in the next several years. We are mostly active in the Netherlands and expect to roll‑out in Europe in the coming years.

We are full‑stack and do everything ourselves: from investments to operations to marketing. We use Ruby on Rails and deploy our stack to AWS.

We have assembled a dedicated team of people with diverse backgrounds and positive ideas. Together, we form a dynamic and high‑performing team that gets things done and has fun doing it.

What we look for

The company is growing in number of transactions, countries we invest or are active in, and overall complexity. We created this exciting role for someone who can marry product vision, technical expertise, and marketing excellence to drive our mission forward.

Responsibilities
Product & Technology Leadership
  • Lead efforts in providing the best possible product and user experience to crowd investors and borrowing companies, reflected in increased conversion and retention rates.
  • Continuously improve operational processes to strive for operational excellence.
  • Make executive decisions regarding the IT infrastructure.
  • Lead our Development team.
  • Grow the crowd‑investor base and drive user acquisition across all markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers, partners, and community advocates who share our mission.
  • Develop creative ambassador programs and community‑driven campaigns.
  • Create compelling storytelling that connects with our audience and converts prospects into impact investors.
  • Experiment with new audience segments, content formats, and marketing channels.
  • Research and possibly lead expansion to other European markets.
  • Analyze partnerships and campaigns for both quantitative results and brand impact.
  • Work closely with content and SEO strategies to improve discoverability.
  • Lead our Marketing Team.
Strategic Leadership
  • Serve as part of the management team.
  • Align product development with market needs and growth objectives.
  • Ensure our technology stack supports marketing initiatives and user experience goals.
  • Build collaborative relationships across all teams.
  • Be a face to our crowd investors, shareholders, and other stakeholders alike.
About you
Core Values & Mindset
  • Drive and belief that you can change the world – our mission of fighting inequality is your driving force.
  • Ability to manage change, foster teamwork, and build collaborative relationships.
  • Relentless customer orientation and genuine care about user experience.
  • Conceptual thinker that takes initiative and doesn't wait to be told what to do.
Product & Technical Excellence
  • Deep knowledge and skill in developing a B2C product, preferably in fintech or impact investing.
  • 10+ years of experience, ideally in a similar combined role.
  • Use technical experience to identify when a situation calls for a technical solution or an operational adjustment.
  • Experience with data‑driven decision making and conversion optimization.
Marketing & Communication Mastery
  • Proven ability to build networks and establish partnerships with influencers and like‑minded organizations.
  • Experience developing and executing growth marketing strategies.

  • Experience analyzing marketing campaigns for both financial ROI and brand impact.
  • Natural relationship builder who easily connects with people and maintains long‑term partnerships.
  • English fluency and preferably proficiency in Dutch.
  • HBO+ work and thinking level with relevant marketing and/or product experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in both languages.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
  • Quick learner who enjoys experimenting with new platforms and approaches.
Compensation
  • Cash salary: EUR 65 – 70 k p.a., depending on experience.
  • Stock options to participate in the success of our company.
  • Annual personal growth budget.
  • Exciting environment with significant responsibilities and ownership.
