Job description

INDG is looking for a 3D Art Director to lead the visual direction of CGI stills, animations, and interactive product experiences for global brands.

You will connect creative intent with CGI execution. The role sits between product storytelling, visual quality, and scalable digital twin production. You will define how products are lit, framed, rendered, animated, reviewed, and delivered across formats.

What You Will Do

Own the Creative Direction

  • Translate briefs into clear visual concepts.
  • Build mood boards, references, storyboards, sketches, and pitch direction.
  • Define the look and feel for stills, animations, and interactive outputs.
  • Shape product storytelling around realism, function, materiality, and brand intent.

Direct CGI Production

  • Lead virtual shoots across lighting, camera, composition, materials, and animation.
  • Review renders and identify issues in shaders, reflections, scene setup, comp, or product accuracy.
  • Give CGI teams precise feedback they can act on.
  • Keep the work visually strong without losing production control.

Protect Quality at Scale

  • Maintain consistency across product variants, channels, and deliverables.
  • Balance visual ambition with timelines, scope, render cost, and review cycles.
  • Work closely with Producers, Project Managers, creative technologists, and CGI teams.
  • Make sure the final output works as both image and system.
Who You Are

You sit between art direction, CGI production, and product storytelling.

You Have

  • 5+ years in art direction, ideally in CGI, product visualization, digital production, or agency environments.
  • A strong portfolio or reel showing product-focused CGI work.
  • Hands‑on understanding of 3D pipelines, virtual production, digital lighting, materials, rendering, and compositing.
  • Experience working directly with brands, stakeholders, Producers, and CGI teams.
  • Healthcare or consumer electronics experience is a strong plus.

You Think

  • Visual quality comes from systems, not last-minute polish.
  • Strong product imagery needs realism, consistency, and technical control.
  • Good direction gives artists usable decisions, not vague taste feedback.
  • Scalable production matters as much as the hero frame.

Your Skills Are

  • CGI art direction
  • Virtual shoot direction
  • Product storytelling
  • Look development
  • Visual QA
  • Creative feedback
  • Client presentation
  • Production-aware decision making
Why Join INDG

  • Grip orchestrates AI-assisted workflows and production-grade visual output.
  • Global brands trust INDG to represent products with accuracy, consistency, and craft.
  • You will shape how healthcare and consumer electronics products become scalable digital assets.
