Job summary

Starion Group in Leiden, the Netherlands, seeks a C# Developer to design, develop and maintain data-driven applications for critical engineering activities. You will work with C#, .NET, WPF and PostgreSQL, contributing to solutions used in high-stakes environments for the Dutch MoD.

The role requires 3–5 years of C#/.NET experience, MVVM, TDD, and fluent Dutch and English. Hybrid work is possible; Dutch nationality is required for security clearances.

Qualifications

• A degree in Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience developing applications in C# and .NET.
• Experience with WPF, Blazor, MVVM and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and software quality practices.
• Experience using Git, GitHub and/or GitLab.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining complex data-driven applications that support critical business and engineering activities.
• Building and enhancing design-critical software solutions used during the early phases of engineering and system development.
• Performing verification and validation activities to ensure software quality, reliability and performance.
• Optimising high-throughput collaborative systems, enhancing scalability, efficiency and user experience.
• Designing and developing supporting tools, frameworks and libraries that enable efficient software delivery and long-term maintainability.
