Job summary

GP Solution seeks experienced bridge and lock operators for a team in the Zaanstreek region, Netherlands. You will ensure safe traffic around bridges and locks, operate locally and remotely, communicate with marine and road traffic, and report faults or incidents. A medical and psychological screening is part of the process.

The role is offered on a temporary agency basis with 8-hour shifts (06:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00) and weekly hours agreed in advance.

Qualifications

• Nautical training or Nautop 1 and 2.
• Radio operator certificate required.
• Small craft license required.
• Inland waterways medical examination required.
• Swimming certificate required.
• Certificate of conduct required.
• BHV or first aid is a plus.
• Medical and psychological screening will be part of the process.

Responsibilities

• Operate bridges and locks locally and remotely.
• Communicate with marine and road traffic.
• Use control systems and cameras to monitor movements.
• Maintain continuous situational awareness at all times.
• Write reports for faults, incidents, damage or special cases.
