A boat comes out of the machine and is not yet fully ready for use. You see where the edges need to be tightly finished, apply the correct details, and check if everything is correct. As a Boat Finisher, you work entirely on one product group: boats. From deburring to assembling and from painting to the final quality control, you ensure that each boat is neatly finished.
This manufacturing company operates in an environment where collaboration, meticulousness, and a practical approach are central. Success here is seen as something achieved together: through good communication, taking responsibility, and helping each other when needed. On the shop floor, this is reflected in the way colleagues work together to ensure the production process runs smoothly and safely.
In addition, there is a strong focus on quality, people, and the environment. Work is done meticulously, with attention to detail and respect for colleagues, customers, and the world around the company. The approach is clear: think in solutions, tackle problems, and keep improving. Within the production department, this means that everyone contributes to a smooth process and a final product that the company can be proud of.
As a Boat Finisher, you are fully focused on finishing boats that come out of the machine. You ensure that the boat is prepared step by step for the final inspection. You are involved in deburring, flaming, painting, and tightening ropes. In addition, you assemble various parts on different boats, such as installing the tank and neatly processing the final details.
During your work, you constantly check whether the boat meets the quality requirements. You look critically at the finish, update small parts, and ensure that the product looks well-maintained. As you progress in the role, you also learn how to perform a water test and carry out repairs on the boats. This gives you the opportunity to take on more responsibility within the production process.
You work with your hands, but also with an eye for detail. No boat leaves your workplace without you having checked that everything is neatly finished.
