Job summary

A2G Consulting BV (A2G Technologies) is seeking a Senior Software Build Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of modern build systems in a hybrid Amsterdam setting. You will implement Bazel rules, macros, platforms, toolchains, and caching, while building automation tools in Go and Python.

The role requires 8+ years of experience in software development and build management, with strong Bazel expertise and familiarity with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development and build management.
• Hands-on experience with Bazel.
• Strong knowledge of Bazel build concepts and optimization techniques.
• Programming experience in Go and Python.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, ClearCase, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Good understanding of software design, algorithms, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize software build systems using Bazel.
• Implement and maintain Bazel rules, macros, platforms, toolchains, caching, Remote Build Execution (RBE), and hermetic builds.
• Develop automation tools using Go and Python.
• Build and maintain automated software integration and release pipelines.
• Apply modern software development practices, including TDD and BDD.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with technical requirements and roadmaps.
