We're looking for talented and passionate baristas to join our bar team.

About the job

As a Barista at Chun you play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests experience the perfect drink every time. We serve matcha, coffee and iced teas. You will be responsible for the entire process from preparation to a timely delivery of the drinks while maintaining a clean and organised bar.

Responsibilities

• Preparation : you ensure all the necessary ingredients and tools are available for making various types of drinks and you follow established recipes and guidelines. In addition you s tay knowledgeable about Chun's current beverage (and food) offerings and preparation techniques.
• Physical demands: you're on your feet the majority of the day, whether you are standing behind bar pulling shots, assembling drinks or walking the cafe floor. You're able toperform precision work with your hands operating the espresso machines and other bar equipement. You have the ability to smell and taste, which helps ensure quality control for each cup (and plate).
• Hygiene: prioritise hygiene in every aspect of our work. Personal hygiene and keeping the bar and front-of-house area clean plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of the drinks we prepare.
• Teamwork: collaborate with other bar staff, kitchen, and front-of-house teams to encourage a positive and efficient work environment throughout the day. You s upport your team by taking joy in the tasks that keep the cafe running smoothly and efficiently. These tasks may vary, but can include cleaning, sweeping, mopping, organising condiment stations, and taking out trash.

About you

Strongly passionate about coffee, matcha and making drinks in general.

Experienced orpassionate to learn about working with an espresso machine and ability to pour basic latte art.

Available to work at least 2 days per week, including 1 day during the weekend.

Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.

Working conditions: we work in a fast-paced environment standing for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry moderate loads.

Wage starts from €17,58 per hour (including holiday allowance and holiday hours) for employees aged 21 and above depending on experience. When under the age of 21, wages follow the Horeca CAO.
