Job summary

Akira Energy is seeking two experienced Barge Masters for an offshore geotechnical campaign in the Netherlands. One position on day shift and one on night shift; this is a hands-on leadership role overseeing jack-up barge operations and supervising offshore crews.

You will coordinate activities with project stakeholders, ensure safe marine and geotechnical execution, and maintain HSE compliance. Valid STCW, offshore medical, and GWO Boat Landing certifications are required, along with English

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Barge Master, preferably on jack-up barges.
• Strong background in offshore marine operations.
• Experience supervising offshore crews and coordinating contractors.
• Familiarity with geotechnical or offshore survey operations is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Akira Energy is looking for 2 experienced Barge Masters for an upcoming offshore geotechnical campaign in the Netherlands, with 1 position on day shift and 1 on night shift.

This is a hands-on leadership role for Barge Masters with experience overseeing jack-up barge operations, supervising offshore crews and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of marine activities.

The Role

As Barge Master, you will oversee daily or night-time operations onboard a jack-up accommodation barge, coordinating crew activities and supporting the safe execution of offshore geotechnical operations.
