Brickyard BV is hiring a Backend Engineer to design and implement the infrastructure for ingesting, processing, and storing image data at scale. You will leverage Elixir (Phoenix) for orchestration and Go for high-performance processing components.

The role covers building a hybrid backend, managing large PostgreSQL datasets, and implementing CI/CD, Docker, and Oban-based queues to ensure reliability under burst traffic. Amsterdam on-site with a competitive salary and benefits.

Formación

• 3–5 years of Backend engineering experience.
• Experience with Elixir (Phoenix) for application logic.
• Experience with Go (Golang) for concurrent processing tasks.
• Advanced PostgreSQL knowledge for large datasets and performance tuning.
• DevOps tooling: Docker, CI/CD, and version control.

Responsabilidades

• Architecture & Development: build hybrid backend with Elixir (Phoenix) and Go microservices.
• High-Volume Ingestion: design pipelines handling up to 500,000 images/day with burst traffic.
• Database Management: own PostgreSQL architecture including schema design, partitioning, indexing.
• Infrastructure & Ops: CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and queueing with Oban.
• Reliability: implement logging, monitoring and regression testing under load.
