Job summary

Raith, a world-leading high-tech company in Eindhoven, seeks a seasoned back-end software engineer to design, code, and deploy critical services for EBPG lithography equipment. You will work across hardware and software teams to translate complex requirements into modular components and scalable architectures.

You will lead design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and ensure robust unit and integration testing within a Linux environment, using modern C++ and Python best practices.

Qualifications

• Masters or bachelor degree in CS/IT/embedded systems or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development focusing on back-end architecture.
• Experience with Linux-based environments and modern C++/Python.
• Strong API design, multithreading, and memory management skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and deploy back-end services for EBPG equipment using C++ and Python.
• Ensure modular software design, abstraction, and clean interfaces.
• Develop on Linux, using build, debug, and profiling tools.
• Integrate back-end with embedded device control and hardware.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, electrical, and validation teams.
• Refactor legacy code to scalable architectures and run tests.
• Lead design reviews, promote code quality, and mentor juniors.
• Foster root-cause analysis and robust problem solving on high-tech machinery.
