Job summary

myTomorrows seeks a Backend Engineer to design and maintain scalable platform infrastructure powering our drug-access products. You will work withFrontend, DevOps, and other stakeholders to build reliable, high-performance backend services from API-first foundations.

Based in the Netherlands, you will join a Netherlands-based team and collaborate across the stack, ensuring security, scalability, and robust documentation while mentoring junior engineers and keeping up with modern cloud-native

Qualifications

• Experience building scalable backend systems and microservices.
• Experience with API-first design and OpenAPI specs.
• Proficiency with Python and FastAPI/Pydantic/SQLAlchemy stack.
• Strong SQL skills with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent English communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend systems and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain micro-services exposure to clients.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps for CD/CI of software.
• Improve platform architecture and functionality with developers.
• Document systems and processes.
• Mentor and train junior backend engineers.
• Stay updated with latest backend trends.
