Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is seeking a Hands-Off AWS Solutions Architect in Amsterdam who has led multiple on-premises to AWS migrations. You will drive discovery workshops, design wave plans, and guide both client and internal teams through cutover for projects lasting at least twelve months with major international brands.

The role is hybrid, based in Amsterdam, with 1–2 office days per week. Strong leadership and consultancy skills are essential, along with a solid Terraform/CloudFormation and

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience leading several cloud migrations (discovery, wave planning, cutover).
• Solid understanding of landing zones, platform engineering and hybrid connectivity between on-premises and cloud.
• Strong foundation in Terraform or CloudFormation and Python; knowledge of storage, rightsizing and observability.
• You’re a true consultant: you build trust with clients and lead a team.
• Strong command of Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and migration workshops with clients.
• Build the wave plan from high level to low level and guide the team to the cutover.
• Lead client and team, with ~80% time on leadership/advising and ~20% hands-on.
• Collaborate with platform, database and security architects on long-term projects with major brands.
