Job summary

ECS Electronics seeks a meticulous QC Controller to secure product and process quality on the shop floor within an automotive environment. You will perform inspections, audits and containment actions to prevent non-conforming parts from progressing.

As gatekeeper for quality, you identify deviations, coordinate containment and ensure proper documentation and follow-up under IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 frameworks.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in QC Controller/Quality Inspector roles in manufacturing.
• Experience with incoming goods inspection.
• Proven experience identifying and blocking non-conforming products.
• Experience with QMS/ERP systems for quality registrations.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
• Strong attention to detail and right-first-time mindset.
• Ability to stop a process or block products when required.
• Structured problem-solving approach.
• Strong cross-department communication.
• Integrity and accuracy in handling quality data.
• Automotive industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming goods inspections against drawings and control plans.
• Check documentation, identification, labeling and traceability.
• Perform in-process and final inspections on trailer modules, wiring harnesses and EV charging cables.
• Conduct visual, dimensional and functional inspections where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with sampling plans and escalate defects.
• Support first-off and last-off checks.
• Plan and perform product audits per IATF requirements.
• Execute Layered Process Audits on the shop floor.
• Identify, segregate, label and block non-conforming products.
• Manage containment actions and NCRs with root-cause input.
• Use measuring/test equipment correctly and ensure calibration.
• Support IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 compliance.
• Provide quality data on scrap and rework to drive continuous improvement.
