Job summary

CHEP is hiring a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician in the Netherlands. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, diagnose electrical and automation faults, and support improvements to reliability.

A strong electrical background and experience with PLCs/robotics are highly valued. You’ll work a fixed 2-shift pattern (06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00) with a 37.5-hour week and join a global, safety‑focused team.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification required.
• Multi-skilled maintenance experience with a strong electrical bias.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or automated environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use workshop equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, automation, or robotics is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, PLC, and automation faults.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Complete root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Update maintenance records using the CMMS system.
• Support site projects and equipment upgrades.
• Issue permits and supervise contractors when required.
