Job summary

VHM Audit is a growing audit-only firm delivering statutory audits for medium-sized and large companies, and voluntary audits for smaller ones. The Audit Manager role blends client liaison, engagement leadership, and team development, with strong emphasis on work-life balance and flexibility.

You will split time between client locations, the Zwolle office, and remote work, supporting a diverse client base and helping the team grow professionally in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Affinity with or experience in audit and assurance engagements, including work within the non-profit sector.
• At least 4 years of experience in audit.
• A completed Bachelor's degree, preferably complemented by a Master's degree.
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for completing assignments from start to finish.
• Driven, client-focused, critical, quality-oriented, and highly ethical.
• Motivated by variety, client interaction, and continuous personal development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Statutory audits and a variety of special audit and assurance engagements.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients and coordinate information and documentation needed by you and your team.
• Coach and support your audit team, helping team members further develop their professional and technical skills.
