Lead the Strategy and Growth of a Market-Leading Software Portfolio

Are you a strategic product leader who enjoys shaping the future of software businesses, driving growth, and leading high-performing teams? As Associate Product Director, you will play a pivotal role in defining the future direction of a portfolio of market-leading software solutions across the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United Kingdom. This is a highly visible leadership position where strategy, commercial impact, innovation, and people leadership come together. You will be responsible for driving portfolio growth, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring our products continue to deliver exceptional value to customers in a rapidly evolving market. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Product, Technology, Sales/Marketing, Finance and Executive Leadership teams, you will help shape the next phase of growth for a strategically important part of our business.

The Role

The accounting market is undergoing a period of rapid transformation and growth, fuelled by cloud technologies and the emergence of AI-driven workflows, creating a uniquely exciting time to join. You will oversee a portfolio of established software solutions specialising in pre-accounting, accounting/bookkeeping and ERP, including Twinfield, Basecone, and other products serving businesses and professionals across the Region West product portfolio in the Netherlands, Belgium and UK. At the same time, you will lead and develop a team of experienced Product Managers, creating alignment around a shared vision and driving successful execution. You will operate at the intersection of customer needs, market opportunities, technology innovation, and business objectives, ensuring the portfolio remains competitive, relevant, and positioned for long-term growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Define and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for the product portfolio.
  • Drive sustainable growth across multiple markets and customer segments.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market, customer, and competitive insights.
  • Drive the identification, prioritisation, and delivery of AI-powered product capabilities, embedding machine learning and generative AI into core workflows to improve customer value, efficiency, and differentiation.
  • Lead portfolio investment decisions, define strategic priorities, and ensure investments deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies in collaboration with commercial teams.
  • Help shape pricing models, market positioning, and value propositions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers and product leaders.
  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and ensure strategic objectives are translated into measurable business outcomes.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Significant experience in Product Management leadership roles within software or technology-driven organizations.
  • Proven success in managing complex, cross-geographical, product portfolios and driving business growth.
  • Experience leading managers and senior product professionals.
  • Strong commercial product management experience, including pricing, market positioning, portfolio growth, and value creation.
  • Proven experience defining product strategy for revenue-generating software products and translating market insights into growth opportunities.
  • Experience operating in international and matrix organizations.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
  • Experience working with technology-driven innovation and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to AI-related opportunities and emerging technologies is highly valued.
  • Fluency in Dutch, combined with professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
