Field Production Technician
Strong seed production depends on reliable field information and practical operational support. In this role as Field Production Technician, you support the production of Leafy, open field and Allium crops by combining crop monitoring with hands‑on support in continuous improvement initiatives, producibility projects, trials, plant material harvest and selection, grow‑outs and plant sampling. Responsibilities
- Monitoring crops at growers and recording yield, quality, diseases, cultivation activities and weather conditions
- Entering data into digital systems in a timely and accurate way
- Identifying deviations from production standards and reporting or escalating them where needed
- Supporting improvement projects through fieldwork, monitoring, sampling, data analysis and administrative tasks
- Carrying out operational activities, such as logistical support, plant sampling, grow‑outs and quality checks
- Supporting purity monitoring, PAC analyses and preventive disease monitoring at production locations
What you bring as our future colleague
- A vocational degree or Associate degree, preferably in agriculture, cultivation, plant science or a similar field
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in seed production, cultivation or agricultural fieldwork
- Knowledge of crop monitoring and production protocols
- Experience with digital systems, such as Excel, ERP systems or planning systems
- Good command of Dutch and preferably English as well
- Willingness to travel nationally and work in changing weather conditions during the high season

What you can expect from us
- A position for 38 hours per week
- A gross monthly salary between €3,322.79 and €4,240.94 (Scale 6, Collective Labor Agreement for Vegetable Seed Companies), based on a full-time workweek of 38 hours and aligned with your knowledge and experience
- 8.33% vacation allowance and an attractive annual bonus program of 7.5% of your annual salary, depending on your job level and company performance
- 25 vacation days, the option to purchase additional vacation days and one paid vitality day per year, with extra vacation days granted as you get older

- A contribution toward overnight accommodation costs if you live farther away from Enza Zaden. This program applies to employees working for Enza Zaden in the Netherlands whose one-way commute exceeds 100 kilometers and 75 minutes
