Grant Thornton Arnhem is hiring an Assistant Audit trainee who is close to finishing a Bachelor's in Economics and Business Economics or a (pre-)Master's in Accounting & Control. You will join a practice team of about 20 colleagues and begin with multiple client projects across industries.

What will you do? You will work in audit (audit practice) and collaborate extensively with a team. Alongside your colleagues, you will audit financial statements for various clients.

As an Assistant Audit at Grant Thornton, you will have the opportunity to continue part-time studies at a university of your choice alongside your work in the audit practice.
In the role of Assistant Audit, you will work within our audit department of approximately 20 colleagues, many of whom have followed a similar trajectory or are still in the midst of their education. You will immediately collaborate with a team on various client projects, serving around 10 to 15 clients across diverse industries throughout the year. Your tasks will vary, including year-end audits in the spring and interim audits, preparatory for year-end audits, in the fall. Your activities, such as audit procedures, financial statement reviews, and analytical procedures, will be guided by your colleagues, often with several years of experience, challenging you with new, more complex responsibilities.

Within the team, there are colleagues who, like you, are either still in the process of becoming a Registered Accountant or have already completed the journey. Each colleague is willing to assist you, and you often start with a group of other newcomers at the same time.
