Eindhoven University of Technology invites applications for an Assistant Professor in the broad field of physics of functional materials and interfaces. The successful candidate will lead an independent research programme within the MSM group, bridging theory, computation, and data-informed approaches.

The role includes teaching contributions to the Applied Physics Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, collaboration across TU/e, and engagement with industrial partners in the Brainport region.

Formación

• PhD in applied physics, computational physics, materials physics, physical chemistry, materials science, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant research experience after the PhD as a postdoctoral researcher or equivalent.
• Experience with theoretical, computational, data-informed, or related quantitative approaches.
• Ability to initiate and conduct independent research and develop an own research programme.

Responsabilidades

• Establish and lead your own independent research programme within MSM and APSE.
• Collaborate with experimental, computational researchers within TU/e and external partners.
• Contribute to development and delivery of the Applied Physics Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes.
