Job summary

Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Netherlands seeks two Assistant Professors in Operations Management to join the OPAC group within the IE&IS department. You will perform and publish top-quality research, co-supervise PhD candidates, and teach courses in operations management, supply chain management and transportation.

You will also supervise Bachelor end projects and Master theses, with opportunities for collaboration with industry via Brainport Eindhoven.

Qualifications

• PhD in operations management, operations research, (applied) mathematics, econometrics or a comparable domain.
• Ability to conduct high-quality academic research with demonstrable outputs.
• Motivation to teach, contribute to teaching processes, and develop excellent teaching skills.
• Strong cooperation skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Effective communication and leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring of students and staff, leading a project or chairing a group.
• Excellent (written and verbal) proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform and publish top-quality research, partly with PhD candidates that you co-supervise.
• Design and teach courses in the areas of operations management, supply chain management and/or transportation.
• Supervise Bachelor end projects and Master thesis projects.
