The NLP-group of the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) at the University of Amsterdam is seeking an Assistant Professor to work on large reasoning models, AI alignment and AI for science and research. Qualifications

• PhD in NLP, AI, computer science or mathematics.
• Strong publication record in international journals or conferences.
• Ability to develop an independent research line and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on natural language processing and AI alignment.
• Collaborate with groups at ILLC and across AI, linguistics, math and philosophy.
• Contribute to education and supervision of students at BSc/MSc/PhD levels.
