Job summary

Eindhoven University of Technology invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Control Systems Technology. The role spans research, teaching, and academic leadership within the Department of Mechanical Engineering, CST section.

You will build and lead an independent program, secure funding, and mentor students. You will contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs, collaborate across disciplines, and help advance CST's mission in high-tech systems and health, energy, and mobility

Qualifications

• A PhD in a relevant engineering domain.
• Strong interest and expertise in one of the CST application areas and its broader research relevance.
• Ability to lead and develop an independent research program with external funding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internationally leading research and publish in top journals and conferences.
• Develop and drive your own independent research program with external funding.
• Contribute to teaching at BSc/MSc levels and participate in curriculum development.
• Mentor students and coordinate collaborations across internal and external partners.
• Engage with IEEE/IFAC communities and contribute to the CST section's impact.
