Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics in Eindhoven develops high‑tech modules for semiconductor equipment, medical devices, and analytical instruments. As a Mechatronics Assembly Technician, you will assemble, integrate, align and test complex modules and sub-assemblies.

You’ll work in cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments, either independently or with support from experienced colleagues, contributing to quality and safety while developing your skills within an international team.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education such as MBO 3/4 Mechatronics or related field, or relevant hands-on assembly experience.
• Experience or affinity with fine-mechanical, mechanical, electrical or mechatronic assembly.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings and instructions.
• Interest in mechanics, electronics, bonding, pneumatics and device alignment.
• Quality-focused and precise way of working.
• Proactive and flexible attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate and test complex mechatronic modules and sub-assemblies.
• Work accurately from technical drawings, work instructions and specifications.
• Identify technical issues during assembly and work with Engineering to find solutions.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Contribute ideas to improve assembly methods, work instructions and production processes.
• Support NPI projects and first-of-series builds, depending on your experience.
• Work according to cleanroom, quality and safety standards.
• Keep your workplace organised and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Share your knowledge with colleagues and continue developing your technical skills.

The role

As a Mechatronics Assembly Technician, you assemble, integrate, align and test complex high-tech modules and sub-assemblies.

You’ll work in project teams on both first-of-series products and recurring modules, in cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments. Depending on your experience, you’ll work independently or develop your skills with support from experienced colleagues.

Your craftsmanship directly contributes to the quality of the products that leave our production floor.

What you bring

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with technology and has a hands‑on mindset. You don’t need to know everything from day one; your technical foundation, precision and willingness to learn are just as important to us.

Ideally, you have:

• A completed technical education, such as MBO 3/4 Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical field; or relevant hands‑on assembly experience
• Experience or affinity with fine‑mechanical, mechanical, electrical or mechatronic assembly
• The ability to work accurately from technical drawings and instructions
• An interest in areas such as mechanics, electronics, bonding, pneumatics and device alignment
• A quality‑focused and precise way of working
• A proactive and flexible attitude
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• A genuine interest in technology and understanding how things work

Nice to have

• Experience in a cleanroom or high‑tech manufacturing environment
• Experience with vacuum technology
• Experience with precision assembly, testing or troubleshooting
