As Area Lead Infrastructure Product Vision & Value Creation, you will shape the future of Global Infrastructure by defining and driving the product vision that guides the organisation. You will champion a product-led mindset across Global Infrastructure, ensuring that capabilities are managed as strategic products with clear customer value, outcomes, roadmaps, and ownership.

You will lead the enterprise-wide vision and long‑term strategy for Global Infrastructure, working at the intersection of business strategy, technology innovation, and organisational transformation. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence one of Europe’s largest infrastructure organisations and help transform how infrastructure products enable ING’s strategic ambitions.

The Team

You will be part of the Infrastructure Product Vision & Portfolio tribe leadership team, the central function responsible for shaping, governing, and steering the Global Infrastructure product portfolio.

The tribe provides the strategic backbone for Global Infrastructure by bringing together product vision, portfolio management, investment governance, transformation, value management, and performance insights to enable informed decision‑making and long‑term prioritisation.

Within this department, the Infrastructure Product Vision & Value Creation area focuses on translating strategic ambitions into a clear product vision, ensuring alignment between customer needs, business priorities, technology evolution, and value delivery.

You will lead a global team of product vision, strategy and consultancy professionals and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across Infrastructure, Strategy & Architecture, Engineering & Reliability, Finance, Risk, HR, and country organisations.

Roles & Responsibilities

In this role, you will define the future direction of Global Infrastructure and ensure that strategic investments and transformation initiatives deliver sustainable business value.

• Lead the enterprise-wide vision and long‑term strategy for Global Infrastructure, ensuring alignment with ING’s business ambitions, technology strategy, regulatory requirements, and market developments.

• Act as Global Infrastructure’s strategic thought leader by identifying emerging infrastructure, cloud, AI, automation, and platform trends and translating them into strategic opportunities.

• Drive the evolution of the Global Infrastructure Target Operating Model, organisational design, and governance framework to support a globally integrated and product‑led organisation.

• Define and maintain strategic product and service portfolio principles that support standardisation, simplification, lifecycle management, and long‑term sustainability.

• Facilitate executive decision‑making through strategic options, business cases, market analysis, investment proposals, and management insights.

• Establish and continuously improve frameworks for measuring value creation, strategic outcomes, benefits realisation, and organisational effectiveness.

• Build trusted partnerships with senior leaders across Infrastructure, Strategy & Architecture, Engineering & Reliability, Finance, Risk, HR, and country organisations.

• Represent Global Infrastructure in strategic discussions across ING and with external partners, ensuring infrastructure remains aligned with future business and technology needs.
