Job summary

Van Lanschot Kempen is seeking a motivated SOC Analyst to strengthen our Security Operations Center. You will triage alerts, investigate threats, participate in incident response, and help remediate risks. The role offers exposure to threat intelligence, threat hunting, and vulnerability management within a blue-team focus.

You will join an international IT Security Cluster with approx. 30 security professionals and work alongside the Blue Team to protect clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Has up to 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT, a SOC environment, or another role involving security monitoring and analysis.
• Has a relevant educational background (HBO or WO) in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Has a basic understanding of networking concepts, security monitoring, and incident response processes.
• Has experience with SIEM technologies and familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, or is eager to develop these skills.
• Has a critical mindset and enjoys analyzing complex situations and solving problems.
• Is comfortable sharing ideas, actively seeks feedback, and contributes to open discussions within the team.
• Enjoys collaborating with colleagues across different teams and disciplines.
• Is curious about new technologies and open to using AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated SOC Analyst who can strengthen our Security Operations Center (SOC) with their talent and passion for cybersecurity. Your primary responsibility will be to support the day-to-day activities of the SOC. You will triage and investigate security alerts, analyze potential threats, participate in incident response activities and help assess, contain and remediate security risks. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will continuously develop your technical and analytical skills while helping to protect the organization against evolving cyber threats.

In addition, there are opportunities to contribute to initiatives such as threat intelligence, threat hunting, incident response simulations and vulnerability management. We use state-of-the-art security technologies, and our detection capabilities are continuously challenged and improved through our Red Team and Purple Team exercises.

You can also work on:

• Implementation of new detections based on emerging threats and threat intelligence.
