Job summary

GloPros is seeking a hands-on Backend Developer to strengthen our Python/Django backend, APIs, and data models. You will design scalable services, ensure performance, and integrate external systems while contributing to CI/CD and testing.

You’ll split time between backend engineering and agentic AI work, with Amsterdam-based hybrid work (four days in office, one day remote). The role emphasizes maintainable code and production-readiness.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of backend development experience in Python.
• Hands-on Django and REST Framework experience.
• Strong API design, auth, and background processing knowledge.
• Solid PostgreSQL modelling, indexing, and migrations.
• Experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD, AWS, and IaC (Terraform).
• Product-minded, ownership from implementation to production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale Python/Django backend services and APIs.
• Design API contracts and collaborate with frontend and product teams.
• Model and optimize data in PostgreSQL with proper indexing and integrity.
• Build async workflows with Celery/Redis and observability.
• Integrate external platforms and maintain robust error handling.
• Improve architecture with clear boundaries and test coverage.
• Contribute to AWS infrastructure and Terraform-managed environments.
• Develop agentic AI capabilities aligned with user value.
