Job summary

Follo is seeking an AI Engineer to embed AI deeply into our workflows. You will work across our Laravel codebase from Vue frontend to backend, building internal tools for colleagues in SEA, SEO, Social and Marketplaces.

You will deliver automations, integrate with OpenAI/Anthropic/Google models, and ensure reporting stays current with automated pipelines. You join a small engineering team and report to the team lead, enjoying a short line to decision-making.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of production experience with Python development.
• Experience with Laravel, Vue/TypeScript, and Inertia.
• Hands-on LLM integrations with Anthropic, OpenAI or Google.
• Strong SQL and BigQuery knowledge, with data modelling.
• GitHub, CI/CD, and code review experience.

Responsibilities

• Build automations for content creation and product descriptions.
• Create integration layers with n8n, Python, Windmill and DAG systems.
• Prototype AI coding agents and push successful ideas to production.
• Ensure data and analytics tools stay current and automated.

AI Engineer
32-40 hours | Hybrid working

AI that only works in a demo? Nobody benefits from that. At Follo, AI is not a layer on top of the work, it sits inside the work. Our specialists build campaigns, optimise them and report on them. You build the internal tools that make all of that faster, smarter and more consistent.

You write real code and you understand what you write. You work across our Laravel codebase, from the Vue frontend to the backend, but you are not building products for clients: you are building tools for colleagues. You work close to the people who use what you ship, the teams for SEA, SEO, Social and Marketplaces. What you deliver today, they use tomorrow.

What you will do

• You build automations for content creation: SEO copy, ad copy for SEA and Social, and product descriptions for marketplaces.
• You build the integration layers with n8n, Python, Windmill and other DAG systems that connect our data to the models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Gemini.
• You prototype fast with AI coding agents and take to production whatever works.
• You make sure our data and analytics tools connect properly, so reporting stays current and automated.
• You actively look for bottlenecks in campaign management and solve them with automation, even when nobody asked.

Our stack

Python, PHP/Laravel, Vue/TypeScript with Inertia, n8n, Windmill and other DAG tools, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform, GitHub with CI/CD, and the APIs from Anthropic, OpenAI and Google Gemini. On top of that: Vertex AI, agent frameworks and Cloud Agent AI.

The team

You join a small engineering team of two engineers that will keep growing over the coming years. You report directly to the coordinator / team lead, so the line to decision‑making is short and you never have to wait for someone else to pass on your idea.

What you will bring

You have at least 2 to 3 years of experience building in a production environment. On top of that:

What we really need

• You write Python independently for API calls, data processing and automation.
• You find your way around a Laravel codebase and can work in it safely, both in the frontend with Vue/TypeScript and Inertia and in the backend.
• You have built hands‑on LLM integrations via Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, and you know prompting, tool use and agents.
• You are strong in SQL and BigQuery: complex queries, window functions and data modelling.
• You work with GitHub and are used to code review and CI/CD.

Nice if you bring this along

• Experience with GCP or Vertex AI, which means you can get going on our platforms right away.
• Experience with n8n or a comparable automation platform.
• Affinity with performance marketing or e‑commerce.
• Experience building internal tools for non‑technical users.
