Job summary

Philips Avent is offering a data, AI and algorithm internship to turn large, real‑world datasets into meaningful product features. Based in the Eindhoven area, with guidance from the Data, AI & Algorithm Lead, you will collaborate with engineers, designers and proposition leads across Eindhoven, Amsterdam and Shenzhen.

You will develop data pipelines and prototypes in Python, translating consumer needs into measurable signals and performance metrics for SenseIQ‑based features.

Qualifications

• Candidates are studying in a technical field relevant to data science, AI or engineering.
• Strong in Python, data analysis, statistics and rapid prototyping.
• Interest in end-to-end data-to-product development, from signals to consumer value.
• Experience or curiosity in computer vision and signal extraction from visual data is a plus.
• Ability to balance accuracy, reliability, false alarms, explainability and user trust.

Responsibilities

• Explore SenseIQ and connected product data to identify patterns, opportunities and potential reassurance features.
• Translate consumer needs into measurable signals, data requirements, algorithm logic and performance metrics.
• Build and iterate on data analysis pipelines and algorithm prototypes, mainly in Python.
• Help define what good looks like for product function including reliability and edge cases.
• Support validation of early algorithm concepts under real-world variability.
• Communicate insights clearly through structured analyses and visualizations.
• Contribute to faster experimentation with automation and AI tooling.
