Job summary

Prosus is seeking a hands-on AI intern to join Group Communications in Amsterdam. You’ll set up tools, build simple workflows and provide senior leaders with AI-driven insights to track what is said about us and measure impact.

In this practical role you’ll work on media monitoring, a shared stakeholder CRM, and KPI dashboards, with real ownership and exposure to executives. Strong English, data skills, and curiosity are essential.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate in communications, data, business, computer science or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot and curiosity about applying them.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and comfort with data.
• Structured working style to turn messy information into clear systems.
• Clear written English and ability to work with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set up media monitoring platform, using AI tagging, sentiment and summaries.
• Design and build a simple shared CRM for contacts, partners, media and events.
• Create a KPI dashboard pulling data from monitoring, CRM and social sources.
• Produce regular media summaries and flag emerging issues or opportunities.
• Train team members to use the tools and ensure GDPR compliance.

About the role

Group Communications supports senior leadership and works across a wide network of portfolio companies, partners and AI initiatives. We want to get much better at using AI tools and data to track what is said about us, manage our relationships, and measure the value of our work.

You will join the team as a hands-on AI intern. You will set up tools, build simple workflows and give the team the insight it needs to make decisions faster. It is a practical role with real ownership and direct exposure to senior leaders.

Help the Group Communications team use AI and data to work smarter: set up media monitoring, build a shared stakeholder CRM and track the metrics that show our impact.

Priority use cases

1. Media monitoring platform

• Help assess, set up and configure a media monitoring platform, using AI for tagging, sentiment and summaries.
• Define the search terms, sources and alerts for the Group, key executives and priority topics.
• Produce regular media summaries and flag emerging issues or opportunities to the team.
• Test AI tools that make monitoring faster and more accurate, and recommend improvements.

2. Stakeholder CRM: Ventures, Illuminate, AI House India, AI House Amsterdam

• Design and build a simple, shared CRM for contacts, partners, media and events across the four areas.
• Consolidate existing contact lists, clean the data, and set clear rules for how the team keeps it current.
• Use AI to enrich records, log interactions and surface follow-ups.
• Train team members to use it and make sure it meets data privacy (GDPR) requirements.

3. Metrics and data tracking

• Agree a core set of communications KPIs with the team, for example reach, share of voice, sentiment, engagement and event outcomes.
• Build a dashboard that pulls data from monitoring, social and CRM sources.
• Produce monthly and quarterly reporting with clear insights for leadership.
• Automate data collection and reporting where possible to save the team time.

What success looks like

• First 3 months: media monitoring is live with regular summaries, and the CRM structure is agreed and populated.
• By the end of the internship: the team uses the CRM day to day, a KPI dashboard is in place, and there is clear handover documentation so the tools keep running.

What you bring

• A current student or recent graduate in communications, data, business, computer science or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot and curiosity about how to apply them.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and comfort working with data.
• A structured way of working, with the ability to turn messy information into clear systems.
• Clear written English and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with a CRM (for example HubSpot, Salesforce or Airtable) or a media monitoring tool (for example Meltwater or Cision).
• Dashboarding skills in Power BI, Looker Studio or Tableau.
• Basic automation or scripting, for example Zapier, Power Automate or Python.
