DEPT® is a Growth Invention company delivering rapid, hyper-personalised digital campaigns. We seek an Account Director to grow client relationships, oversee complex campaigns, and lead cross-functional teams including designers, copywriters, and developers to ensure profitable, high-quality deliveries.

You will manage briefs end-to-end, plan and review creative work, and coordinate budgets, timelines, and resources with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and managing expectations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, balancing workloads and communicating client feedback effectively.
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, contracts, and resources to maximise account performance and profitability.
  • Lead account planning, proposals, presentations, and new business opportunities.
  • Drive process improvements and ensure consistent delivery across all projects.
  • Monitor account performance and provide strategic recommendations based on client objectives and results.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, resolving project challenges and escalations.
  • Lead and develop project teams, delegating work effectively and fostering collaboration.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development.
  • Encourage innovation, continuous improvement, and high-quality delivery across the team.
  • Manage change effectively and communicate priorities to ensure smooth execution.

JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our Global Studios team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients at all levels including strategic input, and overseeing the delivery of a wide variety of substantial integrated campaigns. You will be required to manage client briefs from start to finish, planning, assigning and reviewing creative and managing the overall agency workload in partnership with the producers, design and copy leads. You will be working closely with designers, copywriters, developers and other parts of the agency to ensure successful campaign deliveries; which are profitable without compromising the creative integrity. Therefore, you must be a great team player with strong interpersonal skills.
